Frequently Asked Questions.....
What type of cameras do you use & what is the photo quality
like?
We exclusively use Kodak
cameras for their ease of use and high quality. We also use high
quality rechargeable batteries for a long lasting charge. Our
cameras are 3.2 Megapixel, which is more than adequate for candid
shots. This resolution will enlarge to 8x10 easily.
How many pictures do the cameras hold?
They come with built in memory to hold approx. 20 pictures.
However, we strongly recommend upgrading the memory for all orders.
With upgraded memory, each camera holds approx. 150 photos.
(Note: all our Value Packages come with upgraded memory for free.)
How long can I have the cameras?
You will receive the cameras one business day prior to your
event. You are expected to ship them back to us the first
business day following your event. However, if you should need
different accommodations, please contact us and we will do our best
to work within your schedule.
How does the shipping work?
We do all in our power to make the shipping process as easy as possible.
We deliver the cameras to you in a secure case via FedEx.
Someone must be present to take delivery of the order. We also
provide you with a pre-paid, pre-addressed label that you simply
affix to the same case and drop the shipment off at any FedEx
location.
What if I receive a camera and it does not function correctly?
Should this occur, we will gladly refund you the price of the
individual camera.
What happens if a camera is damaged while in your possession?
We understand that minor damages may occur (ie. scratches, etc.)
As long as they do not affect our ability to rent the camera, we do
not hold you liable for these minor damages. In the event that
a camera is severely damaged, you are responsible for repair or
replacement cost. For this reason, we strongly recommend our
optional Damage Insurance. If purchased, this waives all
possible damages that may occur. Insurance is $3.95 per
camera.
What happens if a camera is lost or stolen while in your
possession?
In our experience, this is an extremely rare occurrence.
The cameras are well marked with our ID tags and table cards make it
clear that the host is responsible for the cameras. However,
should this occur, you are ultimately responsible for replacement
cost. Currently, this is $100 per camera. Unfortunately,
we cant offer theft insurance (else there would be no incentive to
return our cameras!).
If I am still worried about theft, what else can I do?
There are a couple of strategies you can use if you are worried
about theft. First, you could only hand out cameras to trusted
family & friends. Second, you could use a managed check-in/out
system to ensure that you were tracking the cameras.
After SnapHappy receives the cameras back, how long before I get
my photos?
After we receive the cameras from you, within five (5) business
days, we download all the photos and create a Photo CD set and mail
this to you. Within the same five business days, we create
your photo website for all your guests to view. Once you
receive the CD set, this will signify that your website is ready as
well.
How long does my photo website last (length of hosting)?
Hosting is free of charge for two months following your event.
Should you require additional time, this can be arranged.
Can my guests view/download for free? What if they want to
purchase prints?
Yes, there is no charge for your guests to view and download all
the photos from your event. In addition, they can purchase
prints through Kodak Galleries if they choose. We don't mark
up the costs of the prints - your guests deal directly with Kodak
Galleries for purchases. The prices for prints are the same as
you will find with any photo developer. (Ex. 4x6 - $0.15) |
